From Greyhounds in Need Holland
'With a lot of pain in the heart, it has been decided to rehome Podenco girl Roma, who was adopted from FBM (Fundacion Benjamin Mehnert) at the end of April. From the beginning, the adopter fails to make a connection with the dog, Roma is very scared of the adopter and she does not get her on a leash. A behavioral therapist has already been included, but this is not bringing any progress. Roma is scared, but she can be approached by an acquaintance of the adopter, she is especially anxious of the adopter.
Probably something from her possibly nasty past in Spain. Once lined up, Roma likes going for a walk, she walks well on the leash.
The adopter is very sad with this situation and would love for Roma to go to someone where she can feel safe and confident.
Roma was born on 18-12-2016 and tested negative for Mediterranean diseases. She is staying in Belgium. Roma is 7 years old, and especially needs another stable dog by her side. This is noted that when she is with other dogs, she is much more relaxed. She gets along with cats. That's why shelter or preferably adoption with other people where dogs are already present is a must.
