From Sandy at Galgos Rescue Almeria.
'Hello everyone my name is Airi and I am 2 years 9 months. As for most of my peers (hunting dogs), life in Spain is hard to bear. Working from morning to evening in service of our master, we often suffer from hunger, no or dirty water, a poor place to sleep, etc…..and when you are no longer useful you are dumped.
This happened to me too and I ended up on the street. I felt in a water tank but was able to escape my predicament on my own.
Afterwards I wandered around on a busy highway but luckily I was brought to safety. For a short period I stayed with a host family, but unfortunately they could no longer care for me and I was forced to be transferred to kennels. Since then I have become timid and a bit insecure. Fortunately, I can move soon so that I can regain more confidence.'
