Puntanimals Shelter in Huelva has hundreds of dogs in their care, all hoping for forever homes. Not surprisingly the large majority are gorgeous galgos, but here's a very sweet podenco hoping for a forever home. Contact [email protected] if you can offer him that home.

And here's the story about Puntanimals.

Puntanimals is a non-profit association created to help abandoned and mistreated animals. The idea was born from the hands of a fighter, animal lover who wanted his dream of helping those most in need to come true. We are located in the town of Punta Umbría (Huelva). Since before having the shelter, we already collected the animals that we found and we looked for a home where they were safe and had their needs covered. Officially we have been operating since 2011, it was when we decided to rent a place to be able to protect all the animals while we look for a definitive and responsible adoption for them.
Our only funding is the members who each month contribute a fixed fee (in most cases €5) and thanks to them we have been adapting the site for the animals, since it was not conditioned. To give you an idea of how it was at the beginning and how it is now, we are showing you a couple of photos so that you can see how we have progressed.
Our facilities have improved a lot, thanks to the help of all the partners we have managed to build the kennels, put a roof on them so that they have a place to shelter from the rain, the cold and the sun. We have laid the ground, we have built a warehouse, we have made the pertinent divisions for your safety...etc.
On the other hand, and of course, we have to tell you about the number of animals that we have in the shelter. The average is between 100-130 dogs, the size of the shelter is limited and if we do not get adoptions and foster homes we cannot continue rescuing more, since we prefer quality of life to quantity and we advocate Zero sacrifice.
It is for them that we created this shelter and for those of us who are completely altruistic in finding a home for them and improving the situation in which they find themselves. Most of the cases that we encounter on a daily basis range from animals tied to the door with ropes that are larger than their own body, malnourished animals, injured, discarded by hunters or simply abandoned by their irresponsible owners. Thanks to the great work that our veterinarian does, who gives us a special price, we can get ahead, together with the help of partners and volunteers who come to the shelter every week. We invite you so that you can see all the activities we carry out on Facebook ( https://www.facebook.com/Puntanimals ) or Twitter (@Puntanimals), including solidarity walks through nature.
All the money raised in these and other events goes towards maintaining the shelter, buying feed and cleaning materials.
