I don't know the back ground to the rescue of this podenco - I have asked. But this is the ongoing story so far.
'Joy, as we have named her, is still admitted with medication and serum. He can't walk. They have done X-rays and more analysis. He possibly has rickettsia, pending lab results but will take a few days.
Update.
Finally got baby girl out of the clinic last week (tested positive for rickettsia and is on treatment 28 days antibiotic). The neck injuries are getting better and slowly coming back to strength.
Thanks to our colleagues at the Esquinzo Finca Association, she has a host home until she is 100% recovered and then the Tierhilfe Fuerteventura Association e. V will be looking for a family to look after her for the rest of her life.
