Urgent Appeal from Animal Adoption International
Lovely little Ruby was abandoned in Spain by her family when they left Spain. She came to the UK and we found she was leishmaniasis positive. This is well under control and all she needs is a pill a day. We thought she had got lucky and was adopted by previous adopters of the association who also had a little pod. Sadly her luck hadn't changed as the lady died of breast cancer and her husband gave Ruby back.
We found her the most amazing home again though, she had 2 small pod friends, 3 rescued older greyhounds and a large pod for company. It is the most amazing home and we thought Ruby had hit the jackpot. She had actually but sadly fate stepped in and a few weeks ago we got a message from the lady saying she had terminal asbestos lung cancer. How unlucky can one little dog can be.
So now all the dogs have to be rehomed as they came from rescues abroad. We would love to find these 3 little pods a home together, or at least 2 who are super bonded but 3 would be amazing.
This is a heart breaking situation and there are 7 dogs and a family whose world has been turned upside down.
