They say out there, that greyhounds dream their whole life with a life to come, they dream their home, their family, every place, and that dream helps them to be able to get through their reality of abuse and torture. Many make it and others get left in the way.. So when a greyhound comes to your life is not that you have chosen but he dreams.
The end of the hunt comes and with it the end of their lives or the release of others.
Over a year we collect many dogs, but the vast majority are hunting dogs, especially greyhounds and podencos. It is very painful to see how they arrive with their souls totally shattered, atrocious fear and utter distrust for human, not to mention the physical wounds. Dogs that pee and defecate on you when you look into their eyes... We can't imagine what they've had to go through.
We work hard not to collapse and be able to help them be happy and learn that no one else is going to hurt them, it's not an easy job but we will never give up.
Hopefully soon we can celebrate this day to celebrate their absolute freedom, where there are no bars, no abuse, no mistreatment.
Hopefully soon that darkness disappears so you can see the light, hopefully they stop using you as machines, hopefully there was a law to protect the most vulnerable, hopefully you can run free forever... I swear.
Our great wish is that all these greyhounds dream very very hard with their guardian angel.
In the meantime, we will be here to save you from your nightmare as much as possible
