'This is Marlos. The beautiful chocolate brown podenco was no longer wanted by its owner due to a knee injury. Marlos came 11 March 2021 to GRA, a cheerful playful young fellow who apparently was not much bothered by his limping hind leg.
After an examination by the traumatologist, the advice was not to do surgery for the time being and to wait and see how it developed further.
11 February Marlos could leave to Cristina's place, Casa degli Elfi where he could get used to home life with other Podencos.
After a few months it turned out that he was experiencing more and more trouble and his leg also became painful. So underwent major surgery and is now convalescing with a foster family.
The vet bill is huge, nearly 2,000 euros, so much for a small shelter like us.
