So hard for the podencos in the Canary Islands to find forever homes. Their main chance is on mainland Europe. Here's one beauty who needs to get into a foster or forever home as soon as possible.
'XENA, she had to go to foster for a while at least because she was losing so much weight and we don’t know the cause. She lives in a cage nursery and there you can't be so attentive all the time. She eats well, has no parasites, and her attitude is good. The analysis is fine too.
Now we have changed our thinking and we will continue to do other tests, although it can also be the stress of living so long in cages, that although they are very well taken care of and go out twice a day.... because it's not the same as a home.
She’s been with us at least two years. She has always lived in cages and rarely will she get spend a weekend in foster care. She's three and a half years old, active, sociable with dogs, cats hasn't been bad, and she can be educated with guidelines, time and patience. With people she is a little shy at first but gets used to it relatively quickly.
We are looking for a forever home. Will you help us find it?.
