Here's an update on the progress and treatment of Lagun, the badly injured podenco left on the roadside.
'Lagun, still in critical condition, came very low in temperature and dehydrated, has been traced back and tested, and we are told that he has eaten a little bit of canita.
If his condition allows he will get more tests as he seems to have broken his hip, apart from arriving with wounds full of worms. (goodness knows how long he's been laying there).
Thanks to the Aimar Clinic team for taking such care of him.
If you can help Lagun:

Good morning, here you can see the fracture that Lagun has, and his tail full of worms, as soon as it is stronger it will surgically operated on, now he must eat and improve his biochemical values, he is on medication for vein. We already raised his temperature and glucose. He has also begun to treat plasma to raise the albunas as his body has a very large infection
Thank you very much to those who with your effort help us to save lives.
Lagun is stabilizing, the purees feel great on him. The abscess has already opened. It's good that everything goes out, this is what causes the septicemia that the animal had. Vein medication is kicking in and Lagun shows us that he wants to live, and we will do our best to make it so.
Thank you to the vet team at Aimar clinic for their effort and good care.
Lagun our fighter is recovering, but the broken bone is fully infected, he has been tested and after assessing Dr. Cruz in Jaén and Dr. Font in Girona have decided to amputate his foot.
That almost dead bone which wouldn't have held on any plates, so we wouldn't make him suffer anymore.
Our soul hurts, but the first thing is that the suffering is over and can recover well and be adopted by a family that cares for him as he deserves.
Thanks to those who help us save lives, every granite contributed arrives to make a mountain.
