'A month ago I posted that I had been bitten by Scolopendra, a giant centipede here in Spain, whilst asleep in bed. At the the time I was not too concerned as few years ago I was bitten by one and it made me feel un well for a couple of days but nothing major.
This time is was very different and it made me very ill, causing problems with weakness in my muscles, my kidneys and affecting my nervous system. At the point where it bit me the skin became necrotic and I was covered in a rash and was quite worried when the medics started taking about meningitis.
I am over the worse of it and they think this reaction was much stronger because I had been bitten in the past. However it has left me having to pace myself and taking a break from Face book/social media. Just to say all the dogs are fine and I will post updates for everyone.
I apologise for not replying to messages, emails etc but I needed just to step back and rest. Friends were helping in the background making sure I had supplies etc in for the dogs and me.
I am not 100% yet but feeling better however it will take me a couple of months to fully recover. So just taking it one day at a time.
I'm sure we all wish Bev a complete recovery after such a horrible experience.
