A recent rescue.
'Two young podenco types. Thank you to their finder, Jill, for feeding them and keeping them safely enclosed in a fenced area. Also thank you to SOS Rescue who kindly assisted to catch them using a large trap. It is a pleasure to work with you knowing the dogs will be safely caught with minimum stress and secured properly for transport.
Sadly we are being asked to help more and more feral dogs. Dogs that have been left abandoned in the streets and campo...They arrive full of parasites and often with preventable diseases. Sometimes they are second generations as breeding is not control.
These dogs do not lead a 'happy and free life' as some people would like to believe. Life is a struggle for survival and sooner or later they are taken by disease or die on the roads.
Rehabilitation of these dogs takes time, knowledge and of course money.
