Fantastic news about these podencos...they are finally rescued and safe. Here's the update from PACMA. Original post.
'As you will surely remember, at PACMA we have been fighting for years, together with several Canary Island protectors, to save the sadly famous "Podencos de Mogán", about 90 dogs used for hunting and illegal breeding that were locked and crammed in cages in the municipality of Mogán (Gran Canaria).
In 2015 we began to denounce this situation together with associations in the area, and after years of struggle, last April we achieved the seizure and rescue of these dogs.
At that moment his new life began, the opportunity to find a forever home and family. This is how healthy, happy and safe they are now in their foster homes:
At PACMA we work tirelessly every day to improve the situation of animals like them. These dogs have been lucky, and their images fill us with hope and strength to keep fighting.
But many others do not run the same fortune. They are born and die in zulos, condemned to a life of confinement and submission, never knowing the warmth of a home.
For them, for the forgotten, for the ignored, for those who have no one to defend them: We continue!
Surely you can help animals without us, but we cannot continue helping animals without you.
Join PACMA and be part of the only party that fights for the rights of all, including animals.
