SPECIAL HOME NEEDED FRISKY is a striking 4 year old Podenco. He arrived at the charity in a shocking state - skeletal, unwell and petrified. After a lot of love and care he has recovered, but is understandably nervous around new people and living with Leishmaniasis. This is why he needs a special, experienced adopter. He is currently in Spain but can travel to the UK or rest of Europe for the right owner. Please Share!
Sadly Valle Verde Animal Rescue Group is closing at the end of the year, making finding the right person or people for him very urgent! He is a very handsome dog with a lot to say for himself, but starts off quite shy until he knows you. Once he does, he loves nothing more than his head stroked, tummy rubbed and lots of treats. He has no problems with other dogs or coming into contact with children - although we do not advise a household with young children due to his nervous nature.
Ideally, Frisky needs someone with experience with nervous rescues, knowledge of the Podenco breed temperaments and managing Leish with medication.
