From Protectora Malaga
'There are many people who when they see their dogs get old, get upset and suffer in anticipation of the ending that unfortunately will come. They would like them to be eternal, never to leave and always live with them. They take care of them, they spoil them, they do what is necessary to save their dog, to help him spend a few more years. I've met a lot of people like this in the Protectora.
But unfortunately there are others with different behavior, because when your dog, or any other animal, ages and is sick, they abandon it because it no longer serves its use: entertain the children, show off how beautiful it is, hunt. That's happened to poor Kira, aged 14, she has stopped serving someone, someone who never loved her, and they have abandoned her in Zoosanitarian.
She's with us now. We'd like to know something about her story, to tell us what she was used for, but we'll never know, although seeing her race, and her state, it's not hard for us to imagine.
For us, her life is a blank page. Now we have to help her write it. Kira doesn't know what it is that they don't want her, and that's what we're going to change. She's a sweet and good, quiet little podenquita that doesn't seem to have received many caresses in her life, and she deserves them all. She gets along with everyone, dogs and people, and how humble she is, she doesn't even bark.
It's about time she knows a better life. She shouldn't spend too much time in the Protector, there we love and care for her, but it's not a place to live forever. She deserves a home to know in her twilight years, what a family is, feel loved and spoilt, have a comfortable bed and good food. Doesn't need much more. She likes to lay down in the sun and sleep. She'll make a good companion. She knows how to walk on the leash and likes to take walks and smell the countryside.
Let's try to make her luck change and find her family, she sure is reading this. If you can temporarily host her while we continue to find her a final home, so that it doesn't get so hot in the Protectora, or if you want to adopt her and enjoy life together, send an email to Geriatrico@protectoramalaga.com. We'll call you. And if you can't foster or adopt her, share and spread so it reaches a lot of people and our Kira can find her home.
Beautiful baby
