'Jacinta was found on the street, she came to us as a young dog. She was quickly adopted (together with Yuki) and… returned after 3 years. The owners are moving to another country and they say they will live in a small apartment. So they are not taking their dogs with them.
But we realise we should not expect them to care for their dogs. They have neglected them from day 1. When the dogs were returned to us we asked for the books of vaccinations and they said they lost them. “But the dogs were vaccinated!”. We insisted on giving the address of the vet so we could confirm this fact. They indicated “their vet”. The vet is question said they they only saw the dogs once, a few months earlier, when the owners brought them to be euthanized because they were leaving the country. The vet refused to euthanize healthy dogs for that reason. They were never vaccinated there.'
