We received these unfortunate images of firefighters rescuing several hounds from a cache in an area affected by fire.
A few more minutes and those animals would have died suffocated or charred by the irresponsibility of those who left them moored in the middle of the field without any kind of escape.
In The Canary Islands, #pacma has been denouncing the presence of animals tied in the ravines and rural areas without any supervision, precisely because of the danger that it entails for themselves in cases of fires such as the one that happens, floods and all kinds of disasters. Even though the animal protection act makes clear the illegality of leaving animals in environments where proper surveillance can not be exercised, this type of practices follow whether to pursue or punish.
Who will pay the firefighters to play the guy to save the lives of these animals because of the irresponsible?
