URGENT! ELOY & CAMILO HAVE BEEN INVISIBLE FOR 3 YEARS IN KENNELS. SPECIAL HELP DESPERATELY NEEDED FOR TWO LOVELY BROTHERS. Please read on to offer adoption or share if you can. Thank you.
These two handsome podenco brothers Camilo and Eloy are losing their lives living year after year in what amounts to a cage. They have been invisible in kennels in rural Spain now for over 3 years. We are looking for a loving and very dog-experienced adoptive family who would like to take these extremely timid boys to their heart and gently, patiently help them blossom and be happy, as they so deserve.
Your reward will be a unique bond with these two wonderful boys. Tragically podencos may be seen as throw away tools by the hunters who abandon them in their thousands every year in Spain, but as all podenco families know these complex hounds are some of the most special souls you will ever meet. Once you gain the trust of an abused podenco you gain a family member who will so enrich your life - with their loving gentleness, their emotional empathy, their amazing athleticism, their funny antics, their free-spirited wildness and their passion for sofa snoozing and snuggling!
We hope to find the brothers the right home soon (and if possible to be adopted together), but if this is not to be we will look for a foster family or work with a Spain-based canine educationalist to help them be more ready to join a forever family. Whatever happens we will get them out to happiness and will be grateful for any help to share their post or in time support our fundraising efforts if they need this.
Camilo and Eloy are two of the "In Kennels and In-Visible" group a little team of us are getting out to freedom one by one. Thank you to any friends who would like to be a part of this extended family for the dogs! Please get in touch with me Polly Mathewson in the first instance if you would like to help these boys. Meanwhile more information below.
Name: ELOY and CAMILO
Sex: Males
Age: 06/01/2013
Breed: Podencos
Castrated: Yes
Character: They are very good, but very very shy. Living in a tiny run for so many years has not helped them to trust people and be able to lose their fear. But for sure with a lot of love and some help to adapt they will become very affectionate. It would be perfect for them to be adopted together so that they can support each other but we know this may be difficult. We just hope that someone gives them a chance at a happy life, even if they are separated.
History: Eloy and Camilo are 2 brothers who were rescued by a German association from a pound in Almería. This association took them to a kennels with several other dogs. One day they just disappeared and left the dogs there without any promotion or help to be adopted. Camilo and Eloy have become totally invisible locked up in the kennels for about 3 years.
