These podencos were discovered in a finca - chained to the wall so they could barely even lie down - in filth, starving...a denuncia has been made and authorities contacted to help them. A couple were rescued but then the volunteers were accused of trespassing! A petition has been raised to demand the authorities take action against the owner and save the dogs. Please sign and share it.

This poor soul is a Podenca Canario which was dumped in a Tenerife perrera by her hunter owner, after a lifetime of producing babies - and starvation. She could barely stand, had a huge abcess on her face and a fever. She is being cared for by the vets of Albergue Comarcal Valle Colino. Once the fever had subsided, the abcess was removed but an inoperatble tumour was discovered on her face.
These are the updates from Ailsa Mcgibney from 9th November. An offer of a comfortable loving home has been made, where Santa, as she has been named, can live out her days.
