This is Nestle, look what the bloody hunter did to mutilate him. And yet he is still an affectionate, loyal and trusting podenco. Ok, not pure podenco, but it's not his fault the hunter cut off his beautiful huge podenco ears...Can anyone offer him a forever home so he is no longer 'Not Wanted?' contact via the website.
Jennifer says about him.
Nestle is younger than many of the dogs in our project but he is certainly a 'nobody wants me' dog – his breed and appearance go against him in Spain and his cropped ears and tail mean he cannot go to Switzerland. He needs a home which will introduce him gently to new experiences as he can be pretty timid with noises etc with which he is not familiar. He is a lovely affectionate boy who has obviously suffered in his early days but he was very lucky to have been taken in by a very good shelter where he could have some loving human contact and daily recreation time.''
poor boy someone must be able to offer a home to this poor soul cutting off ears as happened often over here with the poor greys its disgusting these poor souls must go through so much pain so pissed off with all this torture what goes on good luck boy in finding your home

I would just like to comment that this is a great charity helping the 'forgotten' dogs in shelters in southern Spain. Older dogs, dogs that the Spanish won't adopt for no reason apart from they are bigger or not an appealing colour, long stayers, shy dogs, Podencos. They are trying to get the dogs sponsorship, foster homes and for people to adopt them. There are some really lovely dogs left behind in these shelters, desperate for a home. It is really worth having a look at their website. It is great that you have posted this Beryl.

Delighted to say that I've been told he is going to be adopted!
