Canary Islands, SARA Protectora - help the hounds on the Spanish Islands

I can't emphasise enough about the podencos on the Spanish Islands, Canary Islands and Ibiza. Their only hope of forever homes is on mainland Europe. Please don't overlook these deserving hounds when you are thinking of taking a podenco into your home.

These two beauties are in the care of SARA Lanzarote in the Canary Islands.

Milka is about 6 years old, a large podenco canario, and was found abandoned with her sistenr in the volcano on Lanzarote. She's not much of a hunter, prefers to be with people, loving and obediante, walks without being on a lead. A fantastic hound for a companion dog. She is very good and happy

This young boy is only 2 years old, a medium size podenco canario called Pinocho. Found abandoned and starving, he is now gradually putting on weight. He's got all his life in front of him; young enough to train; will be a most loving companion, and will love to go for long walks and to play.

they are stunning at the mo beryl we are in the middle of bringing 2 gals over to uk off charl gandalf and pollyanna just funraising at the mo and getting all arrangements underway we want to promote them in our home town hull and surrounding areas once we get that up and running hopefully we will concentrate on brinigng a pod over next time with gal from charl

I just adore these beautiful hounds, have met some here in the UK, they are lovely loving pets...thank you all for all you do at the different rescues in saving these most deserving dogs... would love to have one but it has to be ok with my 2 cat's, I already have two dogs...xxx
