Huesca is a small city in north eastern Spain, in the province of Aragon. It's not a province with galgo hunting, rather hunting with podencos. If you don't know the podenco breed, then read all about them, and the different types, on Podenco Post.
Like the galgos, podencos are not a breed which are often adopted by the Spanish but, also like the galgos, they make fabulous companion dogs. There are dozens of them in the Perrera of Huesca, waiting to find out what life has in store for them. The photos are on Facebook, for those of you who use Facebook The person to contact at the perrera is the vet, [email protected]and the person you have to talk to if you want to know something about the dogs and if you want to reserve any. There are a lot of podencos there who need help. Here are somebetween 6 - 12 months old.
Majo in 6 months and half waiting in his cage.... look at that sad this....
All these podenquitos and many more are in the Kennel of Huesca since had 2; 3; 4 months, you are spending time and nobody takes pity on them: is a race that people think that they are very active, and from my own experience, I can tell you that everything is in their education, as well as any other race... I ask you please me help to disseminate them to see if they come out of the kennel and find a home, cannot continue to grow behind bars...
Contact by phone at the 974340197 (Kennel) or in the 620996790 (Mr. Jose).
