I've received this urgent plea today. 'My partner and I need URGENT HELP since we've been fostering two dogs, 1 of them a 12 months Andalusian Podenco, whilst trying to find a permanent home for them.
Our urgent situation is we have to leave Spain for personal reasons and we are moving at the beginning of February from a house we rent and cannot take the dogs with us to the UK or continue to foster them much longer, because we will be staying as guests in houses and our near future is quite uncertain.
We literally saved Iggy's (the Podenco) life when we found him as a puppy half dead inside a thorn bush full of parasites, lessthan a year ago, when someone obviously threw him there. We've been fostering him since even though we can't afford to but we REALLY NEED to find him a permanent home now urgently.
We found a family who agreed to adopt both dogs but yesterday they told us, at the last possible minute, that they won't take the dogs... This leaves us with a very difficult and critical problem, since we got very little time to sort all this out.
CAN YOU PLEASE HELP US TO FIND A HOME FOR THE PODENCO ??? We are currently located in Granada until end of February and really need your help... Our phone number is 00 34 651 634754.'
Please contact Iggy Podenco if you can give Iggy a forever home. Remember, he has been living with this couple in their house, as a pet, so he is house trained etc. He's just ready to slot into a family home.
Here's more info and photos of Iggy:
- Andalusian podenco
- 12 months old
- Iggy is very sweet , happy and playful. Trained and well-behaved.
- He has been micro-chipped, vaccinated and healthy.
- We literally saved Iggy's life when we found him half dead inside brambles and full of parasites. He was only three months old.
