Vivienne Wharton lives in Spain and is horrified with the terrible situation of abandoned dogs and cats. So she has just set up a group Animal Welfare Murcia. Here's what she says.
'I have no experience of writing to governments or campaigning. I only know I have a very strong urge to do something about the terrible situation in Spain, as I cannot bear what I see on an almost daily basis.
I am trying to get a good group together in order to make an organization without any agendas, apart from making changes to this situation in Spain. I personally have 2 main weaknesses; I do not speak Spanish and I cannot cope with details of the cruelty.
Apart from this I am very driven to help in whatever way I can. I have managed businesses and I run a business here in Spain. I am a good problem solver and a good writer and I am good at getting people together, I have good people skills and I am not afraid to say what I believe in and to stand up for rights.
We need people that all possess different qualities. I have many ideas on how things could change and what we could do but I need people power.
I don’t have a website yet, just my Facebook page, but was thinking of creating one for this purpose but I just need a bit more ground to see where I am going with it and who is coming with me.'
If you are interested in joining Vivienne's group, please contact her direct [email protected].
