You will all be horrified and sickened by this news which has come in from the Little Pod Foundation in Murcia.
This is the original message. 'Calling ALL Podenco Lovers!! We have just received emails about 40 Podencos living in terrible conditions in Benissa. The majority are females being used for breeding. In the video clips (haven't a link to it yet) you can see their dirty drinking water is out of reach, there is no food and they are all on short chains. You can see two already have severe inuries to their back legs and Seprona have already been called in and will going back in a couple of days. This situation is Urgent and these dogs need help!!! Please contact us if you can help in any way, thank you'
Further investigation has revealed the appalling news that the owner of these dogs is an officer of the law, and refuses to give them up!

that is NO EXCUSE, IF HE/SHE IS AN OFFICER OF THE LAW, he should be unreproachable and therefore MUST BE BROUGHT TO JUTICE IN THE MOST HARISH WAY POSSIBLE, or HOW IS ANYONE ELSE GOING TO HAVE ANY RESPECT!!!!!!!

Absolutely agree, Stacey. The problem is that many members of Seprona are also galgueros and so they look after their own - hunters helping hunters. And Spain is a very corrupt country, which is again a problem when trying to get a change in the life of the galgos and podencos. Couldn't you just kill these bastards - very very slowly!
